Includes letters, 1906-1911, from girl friends living in Gaston, S.C.; induction notice, 1923, of Fairell H. Howell; inquiry, 10 Nov. 1920, into homestead lands available in Florida; responses, Dec. 1923, to Sharpe's advertisement in Naval Stores Review offering to sell his small turpentine business; circular, 4 Sept. 1924, from Charles E[dwin] Taylor, candidate for senator, Lexington County, alleging vote fraud in the primaries to the advantage of opponent D. F[rank] Efird; correspondence, 1920s, re outstanding loans on cotton with the Batesburg Fertilizer Co. and South Carolina Agricultural Loan Association; inventory, 17 Oct. 1925, of Ellis & DeLoach, New Brighton, S.C., apparently a turpentine business, offered for sale for $10,000 "spot cash"; and personal letters, 1944, 1948, and 1951-1952, received by Jack and Louise Sharpe.
